Voice of the Water

Voice of the Water
by G.W.Huber
After the dissolution of his marriage, a man becomes fixated on the sounds of the water wherever he goes. He believes it has a message for him to grasp from the sound of it running through the water pipes of his boarding house, the tinkle of ice cubes in a glass, the sound of the rain striking the building or the rivulets of water running down a stream. Voice of the Water is the story of his effort to translate its message and his ultimate obsession to glean its litany.
Voice of the Water is a very short, but poignant story. It is not gory or gruesome, but it is unsettling and not meant for readers who prefer ‘Chicken Soup’ for their souls.
